Got a little blast from the past the other day as someone was pounding"Salió el Sol" by Don Omar from their car. When I first heard that song I was perplexed...."quiero saber que ella baila con chuletas (I want to know how she dances with pork chops,") Yeah! I wanted to know, too! How did she dance with pork chops??? I chalked it up to the fact that I don't know a lot of slang. So I sang it loud and proud in the clubs, with my pals, wherever. No one said anything.
Years later I saw the lyrics..."Quiero saber que ella baila como Julieta." "I want to know how she dances like Juliette." Oh. That's different. Never mind.
